Kai is 1

I know everyone says time flies ... but it still amazes me how quickly my kiddos grow up.  Kai turned one last week ... and obviously I've been a bit too crazy busy to blog this year. Keeping up with kids in highschool, middleschool, elementary school and preschool is exhausting, add in church activities, sports, doctor visits for broken bones and its amazing i still know how to complete a sentence!  :-)

But I feel the need to document his first birthday somewhere.  So here are just some of the pictures we took:

Play time with my cousin (well, sorta cousin) Charlie Ann

And then after Gus's baseball game and Madi's soccer game we had cake!!!
(its cousin Madi's birthday today too, but she is turning 12)

Wordless Wednesday - 4 months old!

Dee, over at Two of a Kind Working on a Full House is hosting Wordless Wednesday.  I have not had much time for blogging since Kai was born, but Wordless Wednesdays don't take much time ... just a picture ... and we all know I am addicted to taking pictures of my kiddos :-)

We have been having some fun family times looking through older photo albums ... trying to see who Kai looks like.  The kids seem to love looking at pictures from when they were babies.  So last night I put together this collage.  If you click on it you should be able to see it bigger.

And come visit Kai's blog for more photos and notes of how quickly he is growing and changing

30 days has September ...

After reading about Tova and Beryl's muchness challenge ... i knew I needed this ... but I also knew that for me, my muchness must find its source in the Lord.  So my search began several weeks ago, a search about how I can combined this challenge with a challenge of my own ... a challenge to get my self back into the word.  Today at the christian bookstore I found this book:

So, my September begins ... searching for my muchness ... which is really the Lord's peace in the midst of my life's chaos ... stay tuned for what I will learn

I won something!!!

I love cyberspace and the convenience of facebook and blogs, but I still really love hand written letters, notecards and getting good old fashion mail! Because of that love I have really enjoyed Kim's site Hope Loves Cards, especially the Daily Hopela that she offers her subscribers. And recently she had a celebration and several of her subscribers won goodies throughout the day ... and guess what??? I won something!!! I won a free month of The Daily Hopela - the monthly edition. Visit her site and check out her adorable cards, designs and goodies!
